Our Vision
All men and women in our community, regardless of barriers to success will achieve economic self-sufficiency through prosperous, vibrant, meaningful careers.

Our Mission
As an innovative social enterprise, The Stride Center’s mission is to empower men and women facing barriers to employment to achieve economic self-sufficiency.  We provide a comprehensive career development program that includes job skills training, credentials, career coaching, work experience and job placement assistance.

Our Training Program
The Stride Center is providing men and women with the tools they need to become economically self-sufficient.  Through The Stride Center’s programs, we substantially increase employment readiness and access by providing low-income and underprivileged adult students with the technical job training, professional and career development skills and one on one job placement assistance.

The Stride Center surrounds students with a comprehensive array of curriculum and resources, ensuring that graduates can compete in the job market and are successful and thriving in their new career.  The Stride Center has developed and continuously improves a curriculum and teaching staff that responds to the unique circumstances of men and women who face barriers to employment and delivers a successful method of training, a professional environment for learning and a proven, comprehensive learning model that helps these deserving, capable people gain jobs, self respect and financial independence.

The Stride Center’s comprehensive career development program includes:

  • Technical, life skills, professional and career skills training
  • Industry recognized credentials (technical certifications)
  • Work experience through our social venture enterprise, ReliaTech
  • Job placement assistance

The Stride Center’s technical training program involves three levels of technology training from beginning to advanced, designed to provide an entry point for individuals with varying levels of skill, while at the same time, provide sufficient training opportunities to ensure graduates are fully prepared for successful careers.

In addition to The Stride Center’s Training programs, we extend our commitment to economic self-sufficiency by operating our own business enterprise.  ReliaTech is a full-service technology consulting, installation and maintenance business, providing paid and volunteer technical internship positions to students, jobs for graduates and contributing 100% of its net income to The Stride Center’s operating expenses.

“There is no social program in this country that is as important as a good job that pays well, that gives someone an opportunity to go to work, have some security, have benefits, and take care of their family and have a good life.”
Senator Byron Dorgan
