A+ Certification Instructor
Job Purpose: To provide technical training and test preparation for the A+ certification exam course as outlined in the published course syllabus Hours of Compensation: The Instructor will be paid for 15 hours of class time weekly (Mon.- Fri. 6 P.M. – 9 P.M.) plus 1 hour per class day for preparation for a total of 20 hours weekly including preparation time. Instructors will be compensated at their regular hourly rate to attend mandatory weekly and monthly teacherís meetings.
Key Responsibilities:

Classroom training:

  • Provide student materials
  • Conduct lectures and lab exercises
  • Track student attendance
  • Advance lab preparation
  • Enforce student policies (i.e. dress code, attendance, classroom protocol)

Preparatory Responsibilities:

  • Document classroom activities
  • Create monthly student evaluations
  • Attend teacher's meetings
  • Attend all scheduled student events
Dimensions: The scope of training is to be provided at a Stride Center location. All necessary equipment (i.e. computers and software) is provided by the Stride Center . The instructor will be allowed to bring his/her own equipment to use at his or her own risk.

Desired Candidate Profile — A+ Instructor:
Personality: Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality instruction. A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance. Mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with senior management. Reliable, and an effective communicator.
Personal Situation: Must be mature and domestically secure. Reliable and able to work flexible hours on occasions when required. Able to communicate in writing.
Computer skills: A+ certification a must. Must be adept in use of MS Office 2000 or later, particularly Excel and Word.
Life Skills: Must be professional and businesslike.
Dates and Time of Class Schedule: Mon- Friday 6 P.M. – 9 P.M.
