What We Provide Employers
Internships and Employment
An exciting aspect of The Stride Center’s program is our internship and employment placement capabilities. The Stride Center facilitates internship and hiring of Stride Center students and graduates into entry level technical positions with partner employers. We are in the unique position of having worked with each of our students for six to twelve months, and we are as familiar with their skills, strengths and capabilities as any employer. And, The Stride Center’s professional skills program, prepares all of our graduates with the skills necessary to thrive in a professional workplace.
When The Stride Center makes a placement referral, the candidates are well aligned with the employers needs, reducing the number of candidates employers need to screen, and expediting the hiring lead time.
Key elements of the employment program include the following:
- Needs Assessment: Through informational interviews and structured discussion, The Stride Center assesses the hiring needs of our employer partners from technical to cultural to ensure candidates meet the specific needs of our partners.
- Candidate Training and Readiness: The Stride Center training curriculum is designed not only to provide students with high quality technical skills, but also professional skills, interpersonal skills, team building skills and more. Students graduating from The Stride Center programs are highly qualified and uniquely prepared for successful employment.
- Candidate Screening and Assessment: All Stride Center candidates are screened and assessed to ensure a good fit before the first employment or internship interview even takes place. As a result business partners only receive candidates who meet their qualifications and expectations, and who The Stride Center endorses after working with the candidate for six to twelve months.
- Ongoing Support and Monitoring: The Stride Center is committed to the success of our students and our employer partners. To help ensure this mutual success, we maintain periodic contact with graduates placed with business partners to monitor their success, satisfaction and to offer support services where appropriate. Using this information and insight, The Stride Center is also able to evolve our training curriculum to ensure even greater success.
- Ongoing Communication: The Stride Center provides periodic proactive communication to keep our business partners informed of new graduating classes, changes in curriculum, upcoming events and opportunities for additional engagement.
